Situated in the scenic Willamette Valley
with a majestic Mount Hood presence, Immunology Consultants Laboratory
was established by Gerrie A. Leslie Ph.D. in Lake Oswego, Oregon. ICL
established itself as a consulting firm over 25 years ago, its primary
function was assisting a major company locate immunological reagents
along with helping them write product profiles.
ICL which is currently located in
Newberg, Oregon, has evolved into a company specializing in the
production and marketing of immunological reagents, on a wholesale and
retail basis.
Dr. Leslie has 110 scientific
publications in international journals, the majority being original
research into the structure, function and phylogeny of immunoglobulins.
These include: sharks, boney fishes, amphibians, reptiles, birds and
several mammals including rats, mice, and men. As a result of producing
some of first anti immunoglobulin classes of chicken (IgY1,2,
IgA and IgM) and rat IgM, IgA and IgG subclasses (IgG2a, IgG2b, IgG2c
and IgG1), ICL was approached about making these antisera commercially
available. Thus, in 1976 ICL developed into a wholesale producer of
Polyclonal solid-phase absorbed Antisera.
